1. What we collect — and what we don't

What we do NOT collect

• No accounts, no registration, no email addresses.
• Form data you enter into the schema generators (business names, URLs, descriptions, etc.) is processed entirely in your browser and never sent to our servers.
• No payment information — the tool is free.
• No names, addresses, or contact details.

AI feature data (Score & Simulator)

When you use the AI Readiness Score or AI Simulator, your generated schema markup is sent to our API, which passes it to the Anthropic Claude API to produce the result. We do not log or store the schema content after the response is returned. If your schema contains sensitive content, we recommend removing it before using AI features.

Analytics data (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, which schema types are popular, and where users drop off. GA4 collects anonymized usage data including page views, session duration, browser type, and approximate location (country/city level). IP addresses are anonymized by default in GA4. We do not use this data to identify individuals.

Advertising data (Google AdSense)

We display ads via Google AdSense to keep the tool free. AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to show you personalized ads based on your browsing behavior across sites. This is controlled by Google, not by us. You can opt out of personalized ads via Google's Ad Settings.

2. Cookies and local storage

You can clear localStorage and cookies at any time through your browser settings. Clearing localStorage will reset your dark mode preference and any saved form state. Blocking third-party cookies will prevent AdSense personalization but won't affect the tool functionality.

3. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy which governs how they handle data:

• Google Analytics 4 — Usage analytics. Collects anonymized behavioral data.
• Google AdSense — Display advertising. May use cookies for ad personalization.
• Anthropic Claude API — Powers the AI Readiness Score and AI Simulator features. Schema content sent for AI features is subject to Anthropic's API usage policies.
• Vercel — Web hosting and edge delivery. Processes server request logs (IP addresses, user agents) per their standard infrastructure logging.

4. How we use data

The anonymized analytics data we collect is used solely to:

• Understand which schema types are most useful so we can improve them.
• Identify broken pages or error-prone flows.
• Measure overall traffic to guide product decisions.

We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties beyond what is described above. We do not use data for profiling or automated decision-making.

5. Data retention

Because we don't store personal data on our servers, there's nothing to delete. Google Analytics retains aggregated data for 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted. Vercel's infrastructure logs are retained per their standard data retention policy. LocalStorage data lives on your device and can be cleared by you at any time.

6. Your rights (EU/EEA — GDPR)

If you are in the EU or EEA, you have the following rights under GDPR:

• Right of access — you can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
• Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) — you can request deletion of your data. Since we hold no personal data on our servers, this primarily applies to any communications you have sent us.
• Right to object— you can opt out of analytics tracking by using a browser extension that blocks Google Analytics (e.g. uBlock Origin), or by enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser.
• Right to opt out of personalized ads — via Google Ad Settings or the Your Online Choices platform.
• Right to lodge a complaint — with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights are being violated.

7. Children's privacy

SchemaForAI is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through this site, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Significant changes will be noted in our blog. Continued use of the site after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
